Charanjeet “Charlie” Kaur Tiwana-Purewal is a seasoned leader in real estate development, bringing extensive expertise in managing complex multi-use, commercial, residential, and healthcare projects. With a proven track record, Charlie oversees every phase of development—from conceptual design and land entitlements to construction completion—ensuring seamless execution and alignment with strategic goals. Her role extends to securing project financing, fostering meaningful community engagement, and driving collaboration among diverse stakeholders, all of which reflect her ability to navigate the complexities of high-impact projects.

Charlie’s contributions to the real estate sector extend to her involvement in industry organizations, including the Urban Land Institute (ULI), where she participates in initiatives that empower professionals and shape the future of urban development. Charlie serves on the Urban Land Institute’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) Committees, helping shape the future of urban development. Additionally, she has served on the boards of the California Building Industry Association (CBIA), the Del Paso Boulevard Partnership PBID (as Vice Chair), and Professional Women in Building (PWB). Her leadership has been recognized by accolades such as Sacramento Business Journal’s ’40 Under 40′ award in 2023 and a feature in Comstock’s Magazine for her trailblazing work in construction.

Earlier in her career, Charlie held leadership roles at New Faze Development, where she advanced strategic planning, operations, and community outreach initiatives. This experience cemented her ability to manage high-impact projects and set the foundation for her success in real estate development.

A native of California, Charlie holds a BA in Political Science with a minor in History from the University of California, Merced, and furthered her education at UC Berkeley. She is also a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum Mountain Valley Chapter. In her free time, Charlie enjoys engaging in activities that reflect her appreciation for balance and well-being, including hiking, cycling, yoga, and reading. She finds inspiration in nature and values time spent with her husband and their two dogs, Merry and Pippin, at their home in Rancho Cordova.
